Valbuena, is the purest expression of the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) in Vega Sicilia. Tinto Fino is clearly the predominant wine in the assemblage of the varieties that make up this magnificent wine. The other variety used is Merlot, which is added to a greater or lesser extent depending on the vintage.
It is the Vega Sicilia flagship. The qualities of the Tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon in different proportions are assembled to perfection in this wine. Each provides a differentiating factor that makes the wine great in every vintage.
As is the case of all TEMPOS Vega Sicilia wines, the harvest is by hand with the fruit being placed in 12-kg boxes and grapes, once in the winery, they are left in a cold chamber for 12 hours in order to preserve their fruit intensity.
Wine produced using the Tinto Fino variety. The grapes are harvest by hand in 12-kg boxes and are taken immediately to the winery to the sorting tables. Fermentation takes place in wooden tanks under controlled temperatures until a good polyphenolic structure is obtained which will provide the generous colour.
Selected Grenaches located at an altitude of 450 and 600 metres made up of a clayey-ferrous soil, with a high proportion of gravel. The grapes are carefully selected on the fields. Once the grapes arrive to the winery, and after a thorough analysis, they are stemmed, pressed ad put into vats.
The red Cotes du Rhone from Domaine Saint Gayan does not follow the fashion for easy-drinking, light and facile wines. It is above all a wine of character, and a wine of the soil in the Saint Gayan tradition. The grapes come entirely from Cotes du Rhone Villages vineyards - in particular from Sablet, which borders Gigondas.
Late Harvest is produced using a coupage of different varieties. These include the Furmint, whose acidity creates the perfect balance with the sweetness, while the Hárslevelű adds mellowness and a silky texture. The Kövérszőlő and Zéta increase the mellowness and fruitiness, along with the strength of the wine.
The production of the Aszú wine (wine of tears) is a meticulous process, which requires great patience and extensive know-how. It is only possible in good vintages, when nature brings rain at the end of the summer and sun and wind in early autumn, which are the essential conditions for the process for noble berries to from.
This wine's name comes from the old way of referring to the vineyard from where it comes. Mandolás is one of the Oremus vineyards and it is only planted with Furmint, the noblest variety of the region.
Avaniel is a red young wine elaborated with grapes we obtain from one or our freshest plors called “Los Miles”. It is also one of the youngest vineyard with vines within 6 and 10 years. These conditions makes Avaniel to be a very fresh wine tasty fruity notes.
Aromatic profile on the house line with a clean, mature and expressive fruit. Opulence and softness go hand in hand in a dense, mellow mouth and without edges.
Light amber in colour. It is nutty and dry with nuances of vanilla, mocha and dark chocolate. Dry and very concentrated, this wine has a long and elegant finish.
